From Vision to Legacy
The Gamma Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. was born from a bold and necessary vision: to create a brotherhood where men of color could rise together, not just in fellowship, but in purpose. Founded in 2006, what began as a determined idea among a small group of brothers has grown into a nationally recognized fraternity spanning Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Iowa.
Our journey has not been without challenge. We have weathered losses, navigated setbacks, and emerged stronger at every turn. The passing of influential leaders, including Founder Stadford Mace, did not weaken our resolve; it deepened it. His legacy lives on in every Brother who carries our principles forward and in every young man whose life we touch through mentorship, scholarship, and service.
Today, Gamma Phi Theta is more than a fraternity. We are a movement, a family, a covenant between men who refuse to be ordinary — men who understand that their gifts are meant to be given back to the communities that shaped them. Through our national Empower Our Future initiative, the Gamma Empowerment Mentorship Initiative, and a growing presence on college campuses and in cities across the country, we continue to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
