Learn About MembershipGEMI is our flagship national mentorship program for boys and young men in grades 5 through 12. It is designed to do what speeches and slogans cannot: show up, week after week, with the same mentors, the same standards, and the same belief in every scholar who walks through the door.
We partner directly with school districts in communities where young men are too often written off, and we walk with them: through homework, through hard conversations, through college visits and community service, through the discipline of "Becoming a Knight." The result isn't just better grades. It's better men, prepared academically, anchored in values, and connected to a brotherhood that refuses to let them fail.
Measurable outcomes. Vetted mentors. A curriculum built on ten dimensions of growth. This is mentorship done right.
Our national Empower Our Future initiative runs six national programs addressing the most critical needs of the communities we serve.
Gamma Anti-hunger Initiative for Neighborhoods and Schools. We multiply the Black-led food operators already feeding their counties with trained, vetted, recurring volunteers, trucks and routes, and the data infrastructure that turns a soup line into a movement.
Open G.A.I.N.S.
Sustained, Presence, Engagement, Acknowledgement, Knowing. The mental health bridge program. Trained brothers walk Black men from the day they decide to ask for help to the day a licensed clinician takes the chair. Ninety days. Eight cadence calls. One brother who answers the phone.
Open S.P.E.A.K.
First Lessons Open-water Access Transmission. The aquatics and drowning-prevention program. We teach adult Black men and the Black community around them to swim, because the child in the water is only as safe as the adult standing at the edge.
Open F.L.O.A.T.
Generational Roots Of Vital Education. Black wealth and financial literacy across three generations at one kitchen table, paired with the GEMI youth track that builds money discipline before grade twelve.
Open G.R.O.V.E.
Active Networks for Caregivers, Honor, Outreach, and Reentry. The disabilities and returning-citizens dignity program. Two tracks, one ethic: nobody walks home alone.
Open A.N.C.H.O.R.
Strength Training, Resilience, Initiative, Discipline, Endurance. The fitness and Black-male-health program. Group runs, group lifts, group health screens, all built around the brothers who will not let each other quit.
